After a brief stay in the hospital with her 6-month old daughter, Founder Chanel Peri began fundraising by selling a nutrition calendar she had contributed recipes to and donated the money from all of her sales - a total of $2,000.00. The money raised thanks to Chanel's community was donated to the Paediatric patients at Southlake RHC in Newmarket, Ontario and to SickKids in Toronto, Ontario.

Happiness Is Sharing was founded in 2021 and had a new focus - donating items that the patients, their guardians and the nurses caring for them could use TODAY! Within 24 hours of announcing this new initiative, Chanel's goal of $5,000.00 was met! (Click here to see the article in NewmarketToday!)

Thanks to the many generous donors, H.I.S. has so far raised over $7,200.00 in support of the Paediatric and NICU at Southlake RHC in Newmarket, Ontario! These funds have gone towards purchasing:

• MID-DAY SQUARES (2 BOXES PER MONTH FOR A YEAR FOR THE NURSES)
• MINI FRIDGES
• NURSING PILLOWS
• GIFT CARDS FOR FOOD AND BEVERAGE FOR THE GUARDIANS AS WELL AS THE NURSES
• SKETCHBOOKS AND PENCIL CRAYONS
